What We Believe
Five Points of Our Mission & Purpose
Worship, Fellowship, Discipleship, Ministry & Evangelism
Worship… helps us to focus solely on God, giving Him our single hearted devotion, love, praise and adoration for simply being God and God alone. Sincere and heartfelt worship magnifies, exalts and honors the very presence of God in the midst of His people and His transforming presence prepares us spiritually and emotionally for the coming week. “The hour has come and now is when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth. ” John 4:24
Fellowship… helps us to confront life’s problems by providing the support, affirmation and encouragement needed from fellow Christians. We are the family of God and it is our duty, privilege and honor to support, encourage and strengthen one another on this Christian journey. “Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such a one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted. Bear ye one another’s burdens and so fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:1,2
Discipleship… helps us to grow and strengthen our faith by systematically and intentionally learning and applying the truths of God’s Word to our lives. For it is through anointed instruction, learning and application of God’s holy word that our lives are forever changed for our good and for His glory, honor and praise! I beseech you therefore brethren by the mercies of God that ye present your bodies as a living sacrifice, wholly and acceptable to God which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind that ye may be able to prove or discern what is that good, and acceptable and perfect will of God. Romans 12:1,2
Ministry… gives us the opportunities to discover, develop and use our talents and gifts to serve in the Kingdom. For there is no greater joy than to be used by God to enhance and advance His Kingdom. Therefore, we strive to develop ourselves for ministry, encouraging all members to discover and operate in their ministry gifts, growing from membership to ministry bring glory to God! Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophecy according to the proportion of faith; or ministry, let us wait on our ministering, or he that teacheth on teaching, or he that exhorteth on exhortation; he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth with diligence; he that showeth mercy with cheerfulness. Romans 12:6-8
Evangelism… helps us to fulfill our mission and purpose of reaching our friends, family members, co-workers and acquaintances for Christ. Christ died and rose again that all men might be saved. And He empowers us through the gift of the Holy Spirit to go forth and be witnesses unto His name. But ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem (home), and in all Judea (the city), and in Samaria and unto the uttermost parts of the earth. Acts 1:8
